More than anything, the Docupen is a specialty product. Those who can use a portable scanner will find it a great help. If work or a hobby has you looking at papers that you want to duplicate or make electronic, you could find it handy. It would be great for students and researchers who want to take book pages with them. Or if your work has you dealing with contracts, legal documents, and bills it may help to duplicate your records.
For the casual user though, the $160 price tag might be a little much. Also those who only need a basic scanner or demand high quality should look at a desktop one. The Docupen was not made for either of these purposes though. It was made for being ultraportable, and that's what it does well.
