The Beatles: Rock Band for Xbox 360

The Beatles are one of the most famous music groups ever assembled. With that popularity comes the opportunity for branching off and implementing their fame into other avenues besides music, and such is the case with their movement into the gaming world with The Beatles: Rock Band for Xbox 360. Simply put, if you are a gamer as well as a fan of this group, this game is a must have.

In fact, this is one game that could introduce some new people into the gaming world. The people I mean are those who simply want to relive their childhoods by getting interactive with the group through a gaming console, but otherwise would scoff at the thought of playing video games.

Of course, if you are not a huge fan of the Beatles, you might get tired of hearing their music constantly while you play. You may want some more variety in a music game, such as with previous releases of Guitar Hero. Still, if you can get past that, you have a great game at your fingertips.

There is plenty of history to be seen, as you can relive the band’s career from beginning to end. The songs, while a bit light in number, are reproduced wonderfully, and the imagery that accompanies them is excellent as well. You won’t be incredibly challenged by The Beatles: Rock Band, but if you want a fun game that allows you to enjoy the music of one of the greatest bands ever while participating as well, this one will not let you down. The Beatles: Rock Band for Xbox 360 is currently available at a retail price of $59.99.

Before we get into the specifics of the game itself, it should be noted that you can also buy a limited edition box set of the game for $249.99. What you get for this high price is the game, a replica of Paul McCartney’s bass guitar to use in the game, a microphone and stand, and a set of replica Ringo Starr drums to use.

While the guitar looks awesome, it doesn’t perform up to its looks. Also, the microphone is an annoyance, as it is wired, and even the drums are not all that great. You would have to think that the high price is mostly due to having the Beatles name associated with the products. Nonetheless, you can always opt for just getting the game itself, and using cheaper instruments from the Guitar Hero series, which will work just fine with the Beatles edition.
