AngelEye Bay-Res (rev. 2) Water Cooling Block Review

AngelEye Technologies has released their second revision of what was the first massed produced reservoir for water cooled systems. This is the product you have been waiting for if you water cool.  By being designed to fit in a 5.25" bay it comes with some natural benefits. First, you can easily check the water levels without opening your case you just need to look at the front of your case. Second, since it is in a 5.25" bay it would be natural for this to be located near the top of your case allowing air bubbles to naturally gather in the reservoir.

I had been keeping my eye on this product for quite some time and was very anxious to get a hold of the Bay-Res. If you are a regular here at OCA, you may remember a review of the Swiftech H20-8500 several months back, anyway one point I made in that review was the lack of a reservoir in the H20-8500. The reason I wanted one is because it is impossible to remove ever air bubble from the H20-8500 even with its excellent fill & bleed assembly. The air bubbles would occasionally get stuck inside the pump dramatically increasing the noise level of the unit. That's where the Bay-Res comes in, the Bay-Res can very easily be added to any existing water cooling system by simply connecting it into the water cooling loop.
