    TomTom GO 930 GPS

Although the current trend for GPS devices in making them all-in-one entertainment centers may lessen their navigational abilities, this is not the case with TomTom. The TomTom GO 930 GPS continues to perpetuate the manufacturer’s philosophy that a GPS is a GPS first, and an entertainment device second. Although the 930 GPS does have multimedia capabilities, its navigational abilities and features are where it shines.

From text to speech recognition to more direct routes from archived data, the TomTom GO 930 GPS will surely do its job in getting you where you need to go. After all, it is a GPS, and navigational accuracy are paramount. The 930 GPS does not disappoint in this regard. Although it is a bit pricy at around $499.95, the TomTom GO 930 GPS is an excellent choice for those who put a premium on navigational accuracy and customization and who want a little bit extra from their GPS in terms of multimedia capabilities.

Unlike previous models in the TomTom GPS line, the GO 930 is black in color. While its predecessors did have a nice look in silver, the 930’s black color makes it look more refined and simple, yet classy. The rather incognito appearance of the 930 ensures that it will not be an eyesore in your car. The unit also has a rather rubbery texture that allows for a decent grip, so you will not have to worry about dropping the unit in high temperatures if your hands are sweaty.

If you have a family or intend to share your GPS with others, the 930’s size is small and favorable for easy transport between vehicles. The 930 measures 3.3 inches tall by 4.7 inches wide by 1 inch thick. It weighs in at 7.7 ounces. While small, the 930 is by no means fragile, and it appears to be able to withstand any bumps and bruises it may encounter during use.
