Haier America ibiza Rhapsody 30 GB Media Player

As I was doing my usual searching around the Internet for new and innovative products a few weeks back, I came across the Haier ibiza Rhapsody Media Player. My immediate reaction was probably the same as yours -- isn't Haier an appliance manufacturer? The answer is yes; Haier is the same company that manufactures home appliances, and they are now entering the portable media player (PMP) market with this 30 GB hard drive player. Continue reading to find out more.

The ibiza Rhapsody is entering an MP3 player market that is dominated by iPod and the new 80 GB Zune. So needless to say, it's not going to be easy for a home appliance manufacturer like Haier to get a piece of the MP3 player market share from Apple and Microsoft. Once you take an in-depth look at the ibiza, you begin to see what sets this player apart from the competition and why it may be a good choice for some people.

The ibiza Rhapsody player is a very versatile device that will play many audio and video formats. It's compatible with various media players such as Windows Media Player or the Rhapsody player itself. The ibiza supports the following formats:

    Audio

    • DRM-free AAC

    • MP3 (all bit rates)

    • WMA

    • WAV

    Video

    • MPEG-4

    • WMV

    • H.264

    Photos

    • JPEG

    • PNG

Downloading music, video, or photos to the ibiza can be done two different ways. You can either download these files the traditional way from the computer, or you can skip the computer completely and take advantage of the ibiza's built-in Wi-Fi feature. A huge plus for the ibiza is the fact that you don't even need a computer to use the device. All downloading of music, video, photos, and podcasts can be done by using the player's Wi-Fi rather than syncing it with a computer via USB cable. This is just one advantage of the 30 GB ibiza Rhapsody media player.
