I tested out the mouse with both Doom3 and Unreal Tournament 2004. I have to say, going from a standard mouse to the Laser at the highest settings takes some getting used to. I was all over the place, but once I got the hang of it, I could hardly believe the accuracy I was getting.
In Unreal Tournament 2004 I finished two ladders that have had me stuck since I installed the game. Keep in mind, a normal mouse operates at a much lower DPI, perhaps 800. With the improved level of accuracy that the Laser is capable of delivering, I was able to hide behind walls and make shots from cover that I simply couldn't make with a regular mouse.
That accuracy in gaming is a curse in other programs, however. When working in Windows, the mouse functions just fine at the lower settings, but at the higher settings it just becomes unmanageable (the cursor goes all over the place again). On the other hand, if you can get the hang of it, it should provide great precision with graphics editing programs such as PhotoShop.
