One thing that is certain for Mini PCs is that they come in a variety of shapes and sizes! Shuttle and some other manufacturers deliver small factor cubic Mini PCs that measure 200(w) x 181(h) x 280(d) mm or even less. The illustration below shows an XPC Mini PC and a portable specially designed LCD monitor, both from Shuttle.
There are also Mini ITX machines which are taller than the cubics but are thinner and still much smaller than a full-size ATX machine. There are even portable Mini PCs that weigh under 2 kg, like the Latte p4 from Saint Song (205x156x61mm, weighs only 1.9 kg and can handle a Intel P4/Celeron up to 3.06Ghz). Some companies even fit Mini PCs into cars to go with dashboard DVD players and plasma screens, and those often measure 120x120 mm.
I would like to say that the manufacturers quoted here are by no means the only ones Minis. There are too many to mention. Among many sites available on Minis, you may want to check http://www.sfftech.com or http://www.barebones.de for information.
