The AEW incident took to the air with a unique tribute

To end tonight's episode of AEW Collision (January 6) ten tribute bells will be rung, usually reserved for memorials, this time in honor of the brutal beating.

While there was a grudge match in the main event of AEW Collision, the show was setting off on an intimidating tone.

While the main event saw FTR take on the House of Black (Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews), the match was about to end in chaos.

With Dax Harwood's wife and young daughter at ringside (and constantly being pointed and shown throughout the match) the stakes were high for FTR.

Just when Brody King looked ready to interfere, Daniel Garcia instead ran out to intercept and attack King himself.

Then staying ringside to cheer on FTR and celebrate with them after their final win, no good deed goes unpunished.

While FTR was able to hit the Shatter Machine and get the victory in the match, their celebration was all too short as they were attacked from behind by Brody King and eventually the entire House of Black.

With Malakai Black attacking Dax Harwood after the match in front of his family, at first the bell went unnoticed until it became clear that he was not the timekeeper.

House of Black's Julia Hart took the gavel and proceeded to ring the ten bell salute on behalf of FTR and Daniel Garcia who were left standing by to end AEW Collision at the hands of the Dark Faction.

Elsewhere in tonight's collision, an open challenge from Adam Copeland. You can click here to read more about it.
