Tennessee football recruiting: 5-star in-state prospect George McIntyre chooses Vols over Alabama

George McIntyre, a five-star quarterback who plays at Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy, committed to Tennessee on Monday morning.

MacIntyre is ranked No. 15 overall and No. 3 in the 2025 class in the 247Sports Composite. He chose Tennessee over Alabama.

Eight of the top 10 quarterbacks — including three five-star players — in the 2025 class have already committed.

McIntyre is the nephew of FIU coach Mike McIntyre and the grandson of former Vanderbilt coach George McIntyre.

The Vols had five commitments before deciding on MacIntyre, led by four-star Texans tight end Jack VanDorSelier.
