Med Gala 2022: The best fashion from the red carpet
See all the best when the stars arrive at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on Monday evening.
Before the exhibition at the press conference of the exhibition, the first lady Dr. Jill Biden emphasized the “rich and deep” history of American design and provided the opening remarks on the metal.
“It’s a story of innovation and ingenuity, rebellion and renewal,” he said. “It’s mostly written by those in the shadows, their influence and art not recognized, but here their stories are told in the metal. Their voices can be raised and their work can shine.”
“I’m always looking forward to seeing how designers interpret the theme with their own creativity, identity and twist, and I firmly believe this year is no exception,” Hilfiger said in an email. “Med Gala is about being open-minded and thinking outside the box.”
“Events accepted by those in the industry and the masses allow for maximum creativity,” he said via email: “I hope guests will show off their very flamboyant and playful looks.”
This story and pictures will be updated throughout the night. Scroll down to see some of the event’s best fashion.
