Justin Bieber appears to be throwing shade at ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez amid allegations that she has a feud with wife Hailey Bieber.
The singer threw a party for his 29th birthday over the weekend where he celebrated with his near and dear ones.
One person who wasn’t on the guest list was his ex Selena, though he seemed to refer to the actress as the party favor he handed out that day.
Guests were handed a silver souvenir bearing the words: “I am so grateful I didn’t end up with what I thought I wanted.”
While Justin didn’t delve into the meaning behind the gift, fans were quick to assume it was a dig at his ex and called the singer “frivolous.”
They tweeted: “This gift says ‘I’m still living in the past’; “So he says he doesn’t want it?”; “And everyone has been looking for his response and he gave you one in the form of a gift”; “What is he trying to say?”;
“That’s so petty, I mean if that’s the way you and your wife feel, keep that sweetness to yourself lol and please, you don’t have to say someone’s name or say ‘who’ to understand exactly what they’re talking about.” ;

Selena and Justin dated on and off for eight years, calling it quits for the last time in 2018. Two months later, Justin proposed to Hailey, whom he first dated in 2015 for about a month.
Fans have long pitted women against each other and been accused of subtly throwing shade at each other.
Shortly after Justin was accused of throwing shade, Selena seemed to address the drama when she took to TikTok to call on people to “be kind” and insisted she “wants nothing but the best for everyone.”
Below a video of her doing a makeup tutorial, she wrote: “Thank you and love you all so much. I am so grateful to each and every one of you humans. You make me incredibly happy.
A second comment read: “Please be kind and mindful of the mental health of others. My heart was heavy and I only want the best for everyone. All my love.”
The drama began after footage surfaced of Hailey mocking Taylor Swift during her time on Drop The Mic.
Selena fanned the flames, captioning the video, “Sorry my best friend is and still is one of the best in the game.”
Then, netizens started dubbing Hailey a ‘mean girl’ because she had previously shared a TikTok video of herself lip-syncing with Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye while saying in a voice-over: ‘I’m not saying she deserves it, but I am. God’s timing is always right.
TikTok commenters took to the now-deleted clip to relate to the body shaming and hate Selena has been receiving lately.
Hailey’s close friend Kylie Jenner has also come under scrutiny recently after she shared an Instagram post that appeared to make fun of Selena.
Selena shared a video on social media revealing that she had styled her eyebrows “a lot,” and just hours later, Hailey and Kylie shared a screenshot showing off their eyebrows on a video call.
Kylie and Selena were quick to address the hate, leaving comments shutting down the rumors and insisting there was no beef.

Selena took to TikTok Live on Thursday to reveal that she was taking a vacation from the internet, temporarily deactivating her TikTok account for a brief period. TikTok and Instagram are both active right now.
She said, “I’m going to take a second off social media because this is a bit silly and I’m 30. I’m just too old for that.”
“But I love you guys so much and I’m going to see you guys sooner rather than later. I’m going to have to take a break from everything.
