Friday is the last day to return your Apple Vision Pro device

This month, Apple released its first anticipated product in years, the Apple Vision Pro. It's an innovative device, with some of the best hardware specifications and most impressive performance of any commercial headphone ever released. It's also a $3,500 toy that countless people seem to regret taking home. If you are one of them, time is running out.

Apple's return policy is 14 days. If you purchase online, this will start from the day you receive it. But if you wait in line outside a store to pick up your Apple Vision Pro on release day, that means Friday, February 16, is the last day to get your refund. The clock is ticking.

After weeks of rave reviews on the latest luxury product, it seems many early adopters are feeling the pangs of buyer's remorse.

the The Vision Bros are not happy. A quick scan of social media shows dozens of users saying they have returned the product to the store. One X/Twitter user wrote: A statement of 775 words About why they abandoned Apple's first headphone. “Goodbye, Vision Bro.” Another X user he said, with a sad photo of their headphones in their original box. “The era of spatial computing has not yet arrived.”

In Apple's defense, VR headsets are a completely new category that's nowhere near maturity. Many of the now ubiquitous devices, including the iPad and Apple Watch, faced a similar response when the first generations of these products hit store shelves. Some leaders in the technology world are still very optimistic about the future of Vision Pro. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, called it “the second most impressive technology after the iPhone.”

“Some fans get upset when anyone dares to question whether Apple will become a leader in a new category,” Zuckerberg said. “I finally tried Apple's Vision Pro, and you know, I have to say that, before that, I was expecting the Quest to be the better value for most people since it's really good and seven times less expensive. But after using it, I don't think the Quest is the value Better, I think Quest is the better product, period.
