Beats Studio Buds+ headphones with new transparent design spotted at Best Buy

Apple’s Beats Studio Buds+ have already arrived at at least one Best Buy, according to an image Shared by tech enthusiast and former leaker Ben Geskin. The box confirms that the earbuds will feature a transparent design option like the Nothing Earbuds (2), and a longer battery life of 36 hours with the included USB-C charging case.

Beats hasn’t yet officially announced the Studio Buds+, but the earbuds appeared briefly on Amazon last month with a May 18 release date and $169.95 price tag. That listing revealed that the earbuds will also feature 3x larger microphones and up to 1.6x active noise cancellation like the original Studio Buds launched in 2021.

The Beats Studio Buds+ are a sportier alternative to the AirPods Pro, featuring a more compact design without “stalks” that fall under the ears. The earbuds will also be available in Black and Ivory color options, according to the removed Amazon listing.

The Studio Buds+ will feature IPX4-rated water resistance and will be available with XS, S, M, and L ear tip size options to fit a wider range of ears, the Amazon listing noted. The earphones were first discovered in iOS 16.4 code last month, and have also appeared in FCC filings and other regulatory databases around the world.

Apple acquired Beats in 2014 for $3 billion. Rumors have it that the new Beats Studio Pro over-ear headphones will be launched soon.
