Reality TV star Sonia Pizarro of famous Operation Repo dies at 60, her niece confirms
Her niece, Sonia Pizarro, confirmed the age of 60.
Linda Pizarro revealed her aunt, who is best known for her role in Operation Repo, passed away in her sleep on Wednesday night.
Linda, who was also on reality TV, revealed that Sonya died in Arizona, and her ex-husband Froilan Tercero remembered his ex-wife in a fitting tribute.
He described the reality TV star as a “bad a** chick kicking some serious a**” in his statement TMZ.
He added, “She will always have a place in my heart and my body where her name is still tattooed on my stomach. Sonia we love you and I will honor you with all the good memories you have for me. Thank you and I love you.”
Sonia and several members of her family rose to fame on the TruTV series Operation Rep, before Sonia branched out into film acting.
In 2009, she starred in Repo Chick, before starring in the one-man show in 2016 called Operation Repo: Lou’s Revenge.
Several years later in 2018, she appeared in a movie called Followed.
Her battles with her health have been well documented in the past.
In 2018, she was hospitalized after suffering a stroke. The accident left her unable to speak and she has had limitations in her basic motor functions in recent years.
It is said that these complications were not related to her death.
As news of her death spread, fans flocked to social media to pay their respects.
One Twitter user shared a number of photos of the star along with the caption: “Remember Operation Repo, Sonia Bizarro.”
Another wrote: “May she rest in peace. I enjoyed watching her on the show.”
And the third simply said: “Damn it, rip it off.”
Sonia leaves behind her three children, Robbie, Robert and Frolan Jr.
