Windows open in wrong screen win 7

hi i have just started to use multiple screens with my new computer and am having some difficulties

i have 2 5770's and three screens

two of the screens are standard computer screens and are situated in my office, and the other is my plasma tv which is in the lounge room

i have a wireless mouse and keyboard and i would like to be able to access files from both rooms

i have a shortcut to the desktop in both rooms and the intention is to double click on this and to be able to work from the room that i am in

however whenever i double click my computer in the lounge room it only opens up in the office

is there any way to open the window on the screen that i am using and not only on the primary screen, which it is doing at the moment
