No sound when connected to TV
Using a Power Cooler 5750 HD card on desktop with W XP SP3. With DVI cable to monitor get video and audio. From this same card I also am running an HDMI cable to my LG TV. Images and video display fine on the TV but do not get any of the sound associated with the videos. All the options for the 'SOUND' module in Control Panel are open and turned up. All sound settings on the TV are enabled and sound works fine when playing DVDs and with Netflix content.
Questions: (1) Is it normal for HDMI to only carry video?
(2) Could a cable from one of the ports on my motherboard to the TV such as 'Line Out' or the red (audio) port fix this problem?

No sound when connected to TV
First of all Hdmi is not only for video it is for both audio and video. So i think you can reinstall your card's driver, may be there is problem in the driver.

If you can check the TV and HDMI cable by plugging it into a HDMI DVD player or something, some TV's let you configure the sound input.
The card support audio through HDMI so you should be able to get it to work. Check the settings and load the latest drivers and utilities.
Try removing the sound from the DVI port as it maybe auto directing to that.

Check for the proper driver and if you previously installed it then remove it and again install it.
