HSD150PX14 to VGA/DVI

Second laptop charger has failed, (so I'm guessing it's the onboard connector, as opposed to the cables themselves) and I've just finished my main PC, but unfortunately, the screen for my main PC is 1024x768... Which isn't brilliant.

WHICH BRIII~NGS ME TOOOO- The point of this post.

I disassembled my HP 530 laptop (following this incredible guide) and found the connector for the screen.

I counted the pins, and there are 40. I counted the pins on a DVI thingy. Less than 40. I counted them on a VGA thingy. Also less than 40. Less than 40 even if you add the two together. I figured add some power connectors, and some redundant pins/factory testing pins and there you go.

After some furious googling, I found the connector was a HSD150PX14... Whatever that is. MORE GOOGLING TIME. I found this .pdf. See page 15.

Now, that has 30 pins listed and detailed, and I dunno what to do with them. My plan was to look up the pinouts for DVI and/or VGA and see if I can make things meet up, in the morning, but if anyone wants to tell me another way around, I'd be extremely grateful.

Oh yeah, I should mention the laptop panel is 1280x800, and I'd like to use it as a screen for my main PC.

Night night, and much luff. <3

EDIT: Ok, morningtime, and I'm not sure the connector is a HSD150PX14 at all... Though the 30pin spec may be right, 'cause I can see under where some of the cable tidying thingy that there are about 3 empty pins on one side at least. Halp?

I found this auction listing, and the connector I'm harping on about is the one in the top-left of that picture. (Sorry to people in the future, being frustrated that the auction's gone.)
