Eyefinity / Nvidia Surround question

Hello guys!
I'm sure this has been asked multiple times, but I have some questions regarding this technology. I am highly considering going with a 3 monitor gaming setup in my next build due to the declining cost of LCD monitors. These are my questions...

1. Does eyefinity run well using 1 GPU (if this is even possibl)? If it does, how does it connect?... I'm guessing 2xDVI, then display port using an adapter?

2. Am I correct in saying that Nvidia's multi monitor technology REQUIRES SLI?

3. Are there any significant differences between the two aside from the fact that Nvidia requires SLI, and ATI's can run with a single GPU?

I mainly play Wow, but with an eyefinity setup I would really like to play some racing games, but if any WoW players reply to this post - Being that wow now offers a multi monitor setup in the options does this mean you can run WOW with 3 monitors without eyefinity / Surround?

Thanks much in advance!

Im surprised no one has answered this yet, but ill give it a shot.

1. Yes, ATi Radeon HD 5000 and 6000 series runs Eyeinfinity just fine. For the multi-display, you need to use the display port out with the adapter (not included with card).

2. Not for the Cuda 3 setup. You really need to use SLi if you are planning on 6 monitors. Hence, Cuda 3 means 3 displays total.

3. Not really, its based on what you like.

Im not a WOW player, but for racing games like NFS series or Grid, 3 monitors does help to create that true 180 field of view. For world of warcraft, I have no idea about 3 monitor setup, but with eyeinfinity or Cuda, you should have no problem.
