Diamond x1050 dual display issue

i have my Diamond Rad eon X1050 connected via VGA to a desktop monitor and functions great. Ijust connected the HDMI output to a Hitachi TV/Moitor HDMI in. The main (1) display on the monitor is fine but the other display only shows the screen saver imge. If I go to DISPLAY in the control panel I can click on the 2 button in the second display box and the display switches so that the windows screen is now on the Hitachi and the monitr only shows thecreen saver. But after 1 secons it switches back. Is there a way to have the same Windows screen display on the Monitor show simultaneously on the HDMI output? Or can I switch them so at least they stay that way and not revert after 1 seconds? Am I doing something wrong or do I need to get a different card?
