Compaq Evo N610..grpahic problem
Pls guys i saw this forum as one of the tops on google, am new here and hope u guys can help me out..
A friend of mine gave to me a compaq evo n610 notebook. i formated the system and started using it, but i came to notice immediately that the graphics was knda slow.. Then i used dxdiag to check for the graphic card... but this is what i found. Name: Manufacturer: n/a Chip name : n/a DAC type: n/a which means no graphics card if i am rite, but may i ask where the graphic card is on the notebook, so i could check it out, or what should i do... Guys please help me out here.... i'll appreciate |

It sounds to me like your video card drivers were not installed? From what I can see that unit uses an ATI mobility 7500 32mb, a card which XP has default display drivers for, but they are only for basic functionality. I would suggest installing the drivers from ATI, found here and that should solve the problem. If not we will have to do some trouble shooting
