Compaq Evo N610..grpahic problem

Pls guys i saw this forum as one of the tops on google, am new here and hope u guys can help me out..

A friend of mine gave to me a compaq evo n610 notebook.
i formated the system and started using it, but i came to notice immediately that the graphics was knda slow..

Then i used dxdiag to check for the graphic card...
but this is what i found.

Name:
Manufacturer: n/a
Chip name : n/a
DAC type: n/a
which means no graphics card if i am rite, but may i ask where the graphic card is on the notebook, so i could check it out, or what should i do...

Guys please help me out here....

It sounds to me like your video card drivers were not installed? From what I can see that unit uses an ATI mobility 7500 32mb, a card which XP has default display drivers for, but they are only for basic functionality. I would suggest installing the drivers from ATI, found here and that should solve the problem. If not we will have to do some trouble shooting

i had the same exact problem with an old toshiba laptop i got for free and repaired and Stang's right of course. It's just lacking drivers for the card.
