Well there is more to it than just the motherboard, you have to factor in the length of the card which can be up to 9 inches in length, and the power consumption of the card. The standard 9800 GT (equipped with 1x 6-pin PCI Express power connection) can consume up to 110w of power, so you will want to take note of what else is in your system, so we can figure out what kinda power you will be consuming and whether or not you have enough juice left in your power supply to provide power for a new video card. There is also a "green" edition 9800 GT which is basically a revised version with lower voltage and a redesigned PCB, and this version will consume about 40% less power than the traditional version, and you can tell them apart easily because the "green" version has no 6-pin power connection, it is powered ONLY by the pci express slot itself. If you are concerned about power consumption or if your PC has a rather weak power supply (not uncommon with pre-built systems), you will want to look for a green edition 9800 GT.
