8800 GT not working on main pci slot

So here is my problem. Please help!

Yesterday I was playing Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 when suddenly my computer turned off.

So I turned it on again only to hear one long beep, followed by three short ones. (I found out that the means a problem with my graphics card - 8800 GT.) The computer was still loading perfectly, but no display whatsoever.

So I took my brothers CPU apart and replaced his Xfx 9600 with my 8800 GT only to find out that it worked perfectly on his machine.

So I took his 9600 and installed it on my computer. Works perfectly. Put back my 8800 GT in my machine, and I get the same beeps.

The funny thing is that if I install my 8800 GT on another PCI Express 16x slot on my Asus P5Q3 Deluxe motherboard, the machine works fine.

Can anyone help me?

Is there a problem running my 8800 GT on a secondary PCI Express with my main one empty?
