GTX 470 Causing Complete Shutdown.
Hello Everyone,
I recently got a ZOTAC GTX 470 stock card.
First game i played was crysis 2. I had problem playing it since my Graphic Drivers kept crashing. The screen would turn into something like acid is dropped on it and after that game crashes to desktop
I googled about the problem and someone in some forum said to pump the volts.
My graphic card was previously running on .94V
I boosted it up to 1.1V using MSIAfterburner.
The graphic driver crashing problem stopped. But after playing Crysis 2 for a while, my pc instantly shutdown without any warning or error.
So i reset the card do its default settings and uninstalled Afterburner.
But the shutdown problem is still there.
Also, now when I'm working on Maya (3D Modelling) software or playing any other game, my pc shuts down after a few minutes.
This is really irritating cause I cant work on computer neither I can play.
Please give me some suggestions, what might be the problem.
My computer's specs are:-
Processor :- AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
Motherboard:- Gigabyte 880 GM
RAM :- Corsair 4GB & 2GB Ungaged
Graphic Card :- Zotac GTX 470
PSU :- Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 650W
