GTX 295+E8600 and a VERY cold night.....

The moons aligned right and I had LN2, a volt modded GTX 295 and temps in the 20's which is quite rare down here in Atlanta.

The results are from the last three days of benching. Fighting through bad OS installs and constant HDD corruption amongst other issues I wish I had to more to show.....but here we go.

I was looking at the screenshots while waiting for my board to thaw and noticed I was running 2T the whole friggin time

I did have two GTX 295's but one was DOA with one of the GPU's refusing to kick in.(SLI was not even an option in the Nvidia control panel) so the 965 benches will have to wait. Here is a 32M run on SS of my 965.

Oh and 01 is still a work in progress if anybody was wondering why there is no results. My previous testing did not pan out in the session as I hoped and I will be giving it another shot tomorrow night.

Wow very nice Brian, I wish i had that kind of hardware to test etc, 108000 marks in 03 i remember when i was chuft to get 30000 awhile back man i'm such a novice :P Good job.

well I didhn't want to waste LN2 on a bench that would not be able to compete with quad cores. So last night I set up another session this time using an i7 Core 965 and ran 06.




I was going to run vantage when I started running in issues and sadly came to the conclusion that the CPU was damaged and could not even hold a load on all 8 cores at stock speeds.
The HT seems to be the culprit here. I am going to RMA the CPU and this will be the first time I have ever had to do it. I have always heard that RMA's that come back from Intel tend to be dam nice OCing CPU's

After figuring out that the CPU was damaged I figured let's see how far this chip will go.....



It has been quite and interesting week with hardware as I have seen both one of my GTX 295's and 965 both broken.....
Quad SLI results are going to have to wait.

You need a pot for that 295

Oh and you need to get that Phenom II under LN2.

I am going to start working on the Phenom this weekend. Just been having a hard time finding a supplier that will deliver liquid helium to me.

Hahah, you are really trying to get some liquid Helium? It's rather expensive is it not? And you really need a different type of storage container.

At least get that thing under Phase this week and see what it can do. Then LN2 and the LHE if you can find some

You need to snag a pair of HD4870x2's or a decent amd SLI board though for some 3dmark runs

Hopefully this time I will be able to score a set of the Tek 5.0 GPU pots from Vince. I just sent him an email so we will see what happens.

The AMD cchip will have to do just fine with one GTX 295

Just too bad I did not get to test the 4870x2 that I had as I sold i before I go the AMD setup as I was very curious about the whole sideport issue that shows up in GPUz as the board I got fro the CPU stated that it had the capabilities to support it.
