Thumbs up TI 84 very basic help

Hi to all. I'm a nube here. Hard to locate just the right info. I have been working on this for days. I'm up against the wall now.

My TI 84 silver was doing pretty good. I thought I could add a few programs. I also have an 83+ that I have dl a few programs to and all went well so I thought I could do this.
I uninstall TI connect from my pc and reinstall. Plug in my 84. All was good,I even indl and install App4Math program with my pc. Good.
Had bright idea to do "garbage collect"
Now today TI connect doesn't recognize. I uninstal and reinstal TI connect. Still do recognize.
Today when I turn on my 84 the little square blinking icon is now a little checkerboard pattern. No longer solid color. Can't enter anything.
I can get some listings w/ math, apps, prgm, vars, stat keys.
When I go apps and try to do anything I get ERR:MEMORY 1:QUIT
I could use some help or tell me where to read. I been on this for days.

thanks

Backup your stuff on your other calc, and reset the entire memory from [2nd]-[+]-[7]-[LEFT]. If that doesn't work, turn off your calc and take out one battery. Then, hold [CLEAR] while putting the battery back in. Keep holding [CLEAR], and press [ON] to turn on your calc. Then, reset the entire memory, which is RAM, Archive, and all apps.

What this forum needs is a list of common problems and a link to the solution (the post where it was solved).

The original problem seemed like you ran out of memory on calc, and should have been able to delete things.

At the stage that your last post showed though, it simply needed an OS installed, which shouldn't have been a big deal.

Hopefully this was resolved, though.
