Help! TI-84 trobleshooting

I downloaded a program, Newton Method to my graphic computer. After i installed this program onto my calculator i first noticed that my graphic capabilities are lost because multiple graphs were shown at the same time(past graphs were shown at the same time with the requested one).
After i took my batteries out from the calculator, in order to clean my RAM memory, i saw that my batteries started to ware out faster than usual(i use duracell batteries).
Is my computer broken?
Should i try buying a different type of batteries?

The multiple graphs was probably just Split-Screen mode, which can be changed in the Mode menu. As for the battery wear, I don't know, since you cleared your RAM. Does Newton Method change how TI-OS outside of the program?
If so, it might put alot of processing power on the Interrupts, which would definitely drain your batteries.
