Unhappy Recoverying USB flash drive

Greetings,

I was copying files from the flash memory to my computer. The computer froze up during the copying and I had to turn it of.

After that the computer can't see the flash drive anymore! I can't even formate it!!

Is it physically damaged? How can I recover my files and make the drive useful again?

Thanks,

try going into device manager, uninstall the drive while its plugged in, then unplug it and plug it back in and see if its detected.

right click on my computer and choose manage, then go to disk management and see if it shows up in there.

when you try and format does it come up with an error?
