RAID, OS, Primary Storage

Hey guys, I have a problem. I just recently used software RAID through XP, using their striped function. I followed a guide which suggested alloting 5-10 gb for the OS, then using the remaining space for storage. I set apart five gigs for my OS, and realized that everything I saved goes straight to my C: rather than my Z:, which contains the remaining 250 or so gigs I had originally wanted the files to go.

Here is my question: Is there a way to set my Z: to my primary drive? As in.. is there away to get the files to save directly to my Z:, to act as if my Z: were the drive with the OS on it rather than the C:? Because I am running out of disc space quickly for the C:, while my Z: is only used for documents or files or downloads that I intentionally put there. My Z: is acting like a large floppy, just holding installation files, while my C: is getting full. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I would love to know the answer to that myself. I had to abandon all partitions because I could not figure out how to do what you are talking about. I said F it, just have 1 huge partition, and deal with it. If I can know how, I'll set up some more partitions. 8)
