Desktop drives are designed with the thought in mind that many of them will be placed into badly ventilated, seldom-cleaned cases. So it probably won't be a problem. If it does get too hot, that'll mean the temperature in the entire case will be too hot, and your CPU will crash anyway.

Yeah you are right about that, I can always monitor the S.M.A.R.T. temp and compare it to what I'm getting now off the drive in a larger better ventilated case.
If it does seem too warm I think I will swap it for a 5400rpm, but that remains to be seen.
