ok i just got a Lite On 48x cd burner from newegg but i can't install it. Newegg only sent me the cdrw and an audio cable. Seems like i don't have enough cables to install it. I can't find the power and ide cables that would be plugged into the cdrw. Do i have to buy more cables? Help...

note: i have and MSI 845G mobo, intel p4 2.26, 2 maxtor 80gig HD's w/raid, and a dvdrom

Oh man... You should have got IDE cables with your mobo. and power cables? you mean to tell me you dont have one single free 4 pin from your power supply? What are you doing? powering your house with it? Sheesh. Go to http://www.duxcw.com and read the system building guides there.

well.. you could always run 2 of the fans off of one connector if you dont mind going out and buying a splitter, or hacking up your wiring. as for ide cables. you need one. most optical drives will not come with one. you need to go buy one, or find someone who'll give you one for free. I expect most OCA junkiez have more of em than they know wha to do with.

OMG, I have a huge box of IDE cables...

You can run all three of your fans on one 4 pin lead. Find a pass through connector or two and or a splitter or two. Keep them on one and free up another for your other devices.

Try not to put both your master HD and master CD on the same lead coming off the PSU too.
