data recovery

accidently erased all partitions on on a 60 gig hd

i have used two different programs to try and recover my data

1 program would recover only files 64kb or smaller
2 program would restore all files nice'n'easy....for 200$!!

40gig of movies, songs and games.(not to mention my morrowind save files!)

any ideas?

Not that I support unlicensed use of software, but I think you'd be best off finding a copy of that nice'n'easy program, and then getting rid of it after you're done. You'd probably only use it once anyhow, since I'm sure you learned a lesson from this .

definatly learned my lesson. the nice'n'easy software only works when your connected to the web and u buy a certian amount of data to be recovered.


took an hour to scan the drive, i click on all the things i want recovered. clicked "RECOVER" and the message pops up that theyd like 200$

bastards...

a little off topic but does anyone know anything about the asus p4p800?

is getting the deluxe worth the extra 30$?

I did some searching, and came across a couple applications that might help you.

ResqPro: Link

DIY DataRecovery: Link

Both have a free demo, and then a small charge if you like it. As I understand, ResqPro should be able to rebuild partitions in the demo. I'm not certain about DIY. Give them a go.
