Wmp 11 lost playlists

Lately, wmp loses my library lis & playlist, don't know why. Rebuilding library is easy, but how do I replace the playlists. I found them all stored in a folder in my documents, I assume wmp did this automatically. However, I can't seem to find a way to restore those playlists back into wmp. I would rather not have to re-create them all if possible. I am running wmp 11 on windows xp pro. Any help is greatly appreciated.
