What do you think of google Picasa ?

Hello everyone, what do you think of google 's photo organization and viewing software Picasa?

I have just installed it today and played around it for an hour, at the first glance it looks extremely nice and modern (maybe some physchologically reasons towards google) , I never used it before, I use it because I heard somebody saying that it is better than ACDsee.

But later on I think Picasa is a bit shit, it really JUST looks nice, and if you want to do some non advanced photo editing, it is good,
the best thing I can see is that it can send large amount of photos by email very quickly . (but in fact sending zip or rar files containing large set of photos is the same), I don't use those blog things or online albums. It's photo viewer is really a
complete shit, it can't do a zoom lock ,it is not just as easy as ACDsee to double click the photo and go to the full-screen mode, I had been paying very deep attention to learn this program, but I don't really know what 's the good of this Picasa,
at least it is not that easy to master it. Do you have the same feeling as me? Or would it be that I am not sophisticated enough with computer so that I don't know the good things of Pisaca?

Depending on what you need you can find many free photo organizer programs. I used Picasa for a while until I found out about Windows Photo Gallery 2011. Download this one and see if it works for you.

I have used picasa for some time and I think it's great for scanning, basic editing and printing of photos and scans - far easier to use than anything else.I have never had a problem and it does everything that I require of it. It also finds all the pics and scans on your computer that you had forgotten.

Thanks for the info and your opinion. Regarding XP and jpg collections, have you tried downloading picasa from Microsoft? It's free and I have wonderful success with it, for improving pix but also for finding lots of pix in obscure folders in my PC that I'd forgotten about for years and sorting them all into a useful catalog.

Hi everyone,

Google Picasa is good software to display the picture. It show all picture and movies do you want to show. You also do picture editing work on picasa and make picture movie by movie maker.
