CyberLink Power DVD
First of all, I apologize if I am posting in the wrong area. I am just hoping someone out there is familiar with my issue.
I have a Dell Dimension 9100 PC.
Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz
Processor Speed 2.92 GHz
Memory (RAM) 512 MB (I am aware that I need more)
Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Operating System Version 5.1.2600
If you need more info, please feel free to ask.
My issue is that I was a moron, didn't know anything about decoders/codecs and deleted PowerDVD because it was running in the background while I was using Windows Media Player. Well, I found out pretty quickly that I shouldn't have done that.
It was factory installed, so I used System Restore to put it back. Apparently, that doesn't work so well. Now I cannot play DVDs or play instant movies from Netflix. I can view online videos just fine (youtube, etc.), but that's about it.
So, I tried to fix it by purchasing PowerDVD 8. That doesn't work either.
Does anyone have a clue as to how to help me get back on track?
