Backup multible drive images to external HD

I need help with finding a piece of software that can back up drive images from different computers to an external HD. I would also need something that would allow me to boot through USB in the case I need to use the image to restore a computer. What is the best way to do this. Thanks in advance.

you never mentioned what types of systems you want to backup so i'm assuming it's your standard windows workstation. i would use acronis workstation. we use that at work and works wonderful.
