Attach Album Image to MP3?
I have a very large mp3 collection, and some of my MP3's when they are inputed into iTunes, the album cover shows up automatically...even though there is no seperate file that came alone with the mp3.
However some of my MP3's do not have any covers (they are not automattically attached)...so...
Is there a way to store a ablum cover within an MP3? I know where to get the covers from (Amazon), but how would I embed the album cover into the MP3?
If I havn;t explained myself enough...just let me know.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
DaVo

There is a seperate file... I discovered this a few years ago after playing with the file view settings. They may have appeared after the switch to WinXP though, I don't know that that would have changed anything though.
As to how to add covers, I have no idea.

you can do it in iTunes very easily but I'm not sure how you would do it without iTunes.

I doubt its possible unless you figured out a way to put it into the ID tag of the MP3. Also consider the fact that you'll be inflating the size of the file by the size of the image.

There are ID tag editors, but I don't know if you can insert album art.
The files I've gotten from mp3's are between 3 and 14KB, and there are two of each: one ~3KB, one ~12KB. Apparently one is meant for the folder image, the other is larger and I don't know what it's used for.

Album art embedded into mp3's
I've been looking for a basic program that embeds album art into audio files as well. So far the only program I've found that has that feature is Sony Sound Forge 8.
