Anything that can Notify me of Site Updates?

Hello, I hope you are well.

I am waiting for a specific Web site to update (it's supposed to update once a week at any given time), and checking back at the site several times a day probably isn't the best way to do it. Is there any program or Web site that will notify me, preferably via e-mail, if a specific Web site is changed or gets updated?

There are a number of add-ons to Firefox that will monitor a site and notify you of changes. Most of these only work when you have a tab open to the site page in question.

Ah, "monitor" sounds like a great term to use. Unfortunately, I did not think of it and have been trying things like "notifier" instead. Thanks!

I use the FF extension check for change. It's wonderful. It has a lot of options, including a very useful one that lets you navigate away (I often do that forgetting it's the check4change tab I'm on) and it'll just pull you back when it reloads. It can alert you of a change, or you can have it keep checking for infinity.

i don't know what kind of "change" you're looking for; but, there's google reader.

You could also submit to the site's RSS or ATOM feed if they offer one.

Is there anyway service out there that will notify me if a specific website that I'm interested changes/updates their home page?
