2: In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
3: These 5 owners drink a certain beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar and keep a certain pet.
4: No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same drink.

Further Details:
1: The Brit lives in a red house.
2: The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
3: The Dane drinks tea.
4: The green house is on the immediate left of the white house.
5: The green house owner drinks coffee.
6: The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
7: The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8: The man living in the house right in the center drinks milk.
9: The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10: The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats.
11: The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
12: The owner who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
13: The German smokes Prince.
14: The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
15: The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water.

The question is ... WHO KEEPS FISH?

I remember doing that with a friend when i was 13.

You gotta consider that Einstein said this about 50 years ago, when people weren't quite as good at math and logic puzzles...

You see, thats the thing, I am pretty sure he used math to solve this problem, logic is inbred.

Nah, this is like Su doku with words rather then numbers. It's nearly entirely logic.

yeah, i learned a lot of logic through geometry. sorry if it seems like i am angry, I am (at finals). God I hate them, ELPS and Chem tomorrow.

In the text, there is no connection connecting German and Fish.
German's animal could be anything...
It seems Einstein was a clever guy.

thats a good one, I was thinking about that a few days ago. I was thinking, what is someone asked me " how do I know that someone does have the fish" I thought that through elimination (no one else has a fish) plus the way most people word questions it is implied that there is a fish.

Yea, It was elimination, As when all else was done he was the only 1 left without a pet, hense he must have had the fish..if there actually were any fish as the only reference to them is who has 'em

Who said that they couldn't have two pets...eh?

They just have to at least have one certain pet that no one else shares. The german could have rabbits or kangaroos for all we care.
