FTP Question

First off, This was the closest to appropriate section I could find to post this in. Now, I was messing around in my FTP and I somehow deleted the www shortcut to my public_html. I really wouldn't care at all except that a lot of the time I go into my FTP via command prompt or command line(depending on which OS I happen to be on at the time ) Anyways, I's still not a problem except that it would be more convenient to me to be able to type it 'cd ./www' instead 'cd ./public_html' It's not really a problem, I am just trying to save myself a few characters of typing. Anyways, if anyone knows how to create a shortcut to public_html named www once again. The help would be appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. If there is a more appropriate section for this question, please move it there. Thanks again.

The actual server itself is Linux, Kernel version - 2.6.22.6
Machine Type - i686
Apache version - 1.3.37 (Unix)

That should be all you need to know about it.

A command to make a shortcut to a file/directory (called a link in linux) is ln -s target name
ie:
Code:
ln -s public_html www
should work
