Hey,

Can someone help me with creating a batch file or a script which automatically runs when a file is dropped into a folder.

You're going to need an application that can actually watch folders and trigger events off of said action. Look into the AutoMate software. Pricey, but it does that, and a whole lot more. Can find it at Network Automation website.
