DOS Batch - Batch Download
Is there a way I can create a batch file that will download files off of the internet. I'm often times setting up computers for my friends and I have some programs that I always download such as Avast and Firefox. So can I create a batch file that will download them and even install them for me? And even further can it check to see if the program is already installed before it downloads it?

WGET for Win32 - this is your first step for downloading a file from a batch script.
Is that all possible? Yes. Were you asking us to write it for you? |

No I'll write it myself. Is it possible to do without any outside applications. Cause I did a google search and what I found you needed an outside application. And where can I find a tutorial on how to do something like this?

I though I might need outside applications. Well I have another question. Is there a way I can generate a random number through a batch file or in the command prompt? Edit: Found out how to generate Random Number %random% |
