Mouse sensitivity

hi everyone,

I wanted to change the sensitivity of my mouse (i want to decrease its sensitivity), such that the movement of the pointer on the screen is the same as that on the mouse pad. I mean that if we are moving 1 cm on the mouse pad mouse pointer on the screen sholld also move 1cm on the screen. Is there a way to do this?

is there also a way to determine the position of the mouse on the computer screen. Pixel position in terms of rowsXcolumn?

aside from looking in the Mouse part of the windows Control Panel theres not much you could do. Depending on your hardware you might have some other software to enable greater control over the trackpad, this should also be in the control panel or possibly in the tray (lower right).

Yes, you can get the current mouse pointer position in the screen, but i dont see how this will help you?!

Actually i tried that, i am using two mice on my computer, so when i am changing the sensitivity as in the speed of the mouse (control panel->mouse->Pointer options) then only the speed of my primary mouse is changing. I have XP professional SP2.

I am actually working on a class project where i am trying to make the mouse pointer move the same distance as it moves on the mouse pad. This way i can keep a track on the poition of the mouse just by looking at the position of the mouse on the mouse pad.
