Unhappy Mouse`cursor freezing..
I have a really strange mouse problem!
I have an optical WOP-35 A4Tech {ps2} Optical Mouse, Win XP Pro, MX9138E Matsonic [ECS] Motherboard!
It happens approx 1x/1h that my mouse cursor freezes completly... left/right click is working and scroll too. The Mouse pointer remains on that position whatever i am doing...computer is working fine..i cand do anything w/out mouse. If i unplug/plug again my mouse then it`s working again for approx 1h then the problem appears again!
This problem appears when my comp. is idle/or i`m gaming...so it did`nt depends on the usage!
If i restart the comp when the cursor is freezed, it fixes the problem, so it`s NOT my mouse`s causing this problem (btw i tryed my mouse at 2 different computers for long time and it was workin properly)!

So plz. help i dunno if my mobo is causing this problem or maybe software related... i need to mention that i do NOT have viruses,spyware,adware...

like i said PS/2 ^^
but i resolved my problem..it was a connector problem. My ps/2 connector on the motherboard was the problem, now it`s fixed there and it`s plugged on my mouse and it`s working fine.

i have a problem regarding ps2mouse and ps2 keyboard... i am using a ps2 mouse and ps2keyboard, before it was working fine, but when i restarted my pc, suddenly the mouse and the keyboard doesn't work, when i unplug my mouse and exchange for a USB mouse, it became ok and the keyboard works... can somebody explain to me what happend to my ps2 mouse, is there something wrong with my ps2mouse socket in my motherboard??! i am using my pc for gaming, and i still want to use my ps2 mouse.

i am hoping you can help or explain to me what to do! thanks...

Same problem
I have the same exact problem with my A4Tech mouse. It is a USB though (SWOP-80PU). It is the same symptoms as described above and happens when computer is left idle. I have to disconnect and reconnet the USB for it to work again.

Any ideas? Is this an A4Tech issue? I know the mice are cheap....that might be the issue.
