IntelliType installing incorrect keyboard driver
Well first off i'd like to say hai2u guiz.
Keyboard: Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000
connected via USB
Yesterday my keyboard was working perfectly fine until I restarted my computer. My system bios report shows up first once my computer is turned on and the F1 key is needed to be pressed to continue passed it and pressing DEL would take you to the BIOS. So I tried pressing the F1 key and noticed there was no responce from the keyboard as well as the DEL key. Then, I thought there was something wrong with the usb port and decided to change it ... still no luck . So, then I plugged in another keyboard which is also usb and was able to get passed the system bios report and into Windows. Once in Windows I decided to uninstall the current driver it had and uninstall and download and reinstall IntelliType. Once in the setup it asks for you to pick the keyboard your using so I clicked "Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000" which then after is supposed to install the keyboards drivers. But the keyboard still didnt respond at all. So I checked the drivers it installed and they were listed as "Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000". I've tried the keyboard on my sisters computer but it still didnt respond D:. At this point I didnt know what to do ._.
Is it the actual keyboard that theres something wrong with or is it a driver thing?
I appreciate the help &
Thanks in advanced :[
Edit: I was able to get the drivers for the "Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000" working (I unplugged the keyboard, opened it up and cleaned it with compressed air and the drivers changed O_o) but the keyboard still doesnt respond :[[. Im guessing theres something wrong with the actual keyboard = =.
any suggestions D:?
