Upgrading C521

Ok so silly me I purchased a Dell C521 about a year ago and didnt even realize that it was micro-micro atx, i.e. half-height video cards and such. Now I want to upgrade to a spiffy, shiny new nvidia 8800 or 9600 gt if possible and know that I would probably need a new case, mb, and psu, but I dont even know where to start. I have about $600 to spend. Can anyone help me figure out what I can do and if this is even possible?

So far I have picked out the following:
APEVIA X-SUPRA G-Type X-SUPRAG-AL/500 Black / Silver SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply - Retail
ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
EVGA 512-P3-N845-AR GeForce 8800GTS (G92) KO 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail -OR- EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX(G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

Any thoughts? Pretty much will be using the ram (2gb), cpu(AMD Athlon X2 4000+) and hard disk (320gb) from the C521, unless there are any problems with what I picked...

Thank you for your time.

/greg

Any suggestions on a PSU then?
Im looking at a LIAN LI PC-A05B Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail for a case and OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI 700W ATX12V Power Supply - Retail for the PSU, is that better?

Any idea on the pricepoints? And would the older cards price's be reduced as well? The reason Im asking is because with the list I have now it will suck up every bit of my budget for this. If with the release of the new cards the 8800 will go down significantly then yeah it will be worth it for me to wait, otherwise, I dont see any reason too.

well usually the older cards do drop in price once the new ones come out on the market.

also doesnt the dell board have a pcie slot on it?

Yes the Dell board has PCI-E x16 I believe, but it is one of the mini-micro ATX boards, which I thought could only fit half-height cards from what I understand (not sure if I mentioned already but Im not 100% on hardware these days, havent built a computer in years) unless its just the case which affects the card dimensions available. If it is just the case would I be ok with the dell mb or would it bottleneck the card too much? I would like the cheapest possible solution with the best possible output within the pricerange if possible. Heh, I know, Im asking for alot of help, thanks for all of your time and assistance.

what they mean by half height is for the case dimensions. And the mb wouldnt bottleneck the video card at all. The only thing that could ever bottleneck a card would be your cpu but l doubt that would be the case as the x2 4000 is still plenty fast for today

Ok, I wanted to thank you for all your information and help, and also apologize for being a pain. I have a few more questions though. I found out that the C521 has a BTX mb, which I heard requires a special type of case which is not very common. Would the case I picked out be alright for this or do I need a different one? Also, the PSU, the dell has a 300w I believe, is this powerful enough?

Again thank you for all your time and effort.
