Sun SPARCstation 20 (Quad Ross HyperSPARC)
Hi,
I have a 20 lying around in the spare room and im thinking of selling it. How much do you think I should expect to get? This is the spec... Quad Ross HyperSPARC (4x75Mhz procs) 256MB RAM > Can go up to 512MB 2 x 10GB SCSI disks. (One is a seagate cheetah, the other an IBM) And the whole thing is in very good condition! Cheers. |

Wow... you might be able to get a little out of the SCSI drives, if someone is looking for that particular type of setup, however, there isn't much chance of making any money on the entire machine, considering its age. It was great when it was new, but far too outdated now.
It would make a hellacious print/file server for a home network, though it probably sucks down a lot more power than a newer desktop station of equivalent capability.

i have a sparc workstation but it isnt a quad anything and probably only 50mhz but was apparently used for graphics, if you consider selling bits, i would be interested in keyboard/mouse, but isnt the overall weight of the workstations going to bump the price up quite a bit?
