Would a 430 Watt power supply that comes with a case be ok?

Well since you gave us about 700 to spend lma going to get a list of parts for you. DFI Blood Iron Good board for overclocking and its all around solid for everything. q6600 A fast quad core processor. 2x2 gb ddr2 800 700watt OCZ psu 250 gig sata hard drive You could always get 2 pf these and a raid card and run a raid 0 array and have a seperate drive for important documents heatsink (arctic freezer pro 7) So far the build total without any optical drive, case or the vdieo card rests at 586.94. The reason I left out the optical drives is because you can probably use the ones in your curren pc. Also the case is a user preference. As for the video card L would wait because in 2 weeks Ati and Nvidia are releasing the new series of cards (the gt200 and the hd48_ _ series.) Both of these cards look to be powerful with them both destroying the dual card beast of the current cards such as the 9800gx2 and the hd3850 or 3870x2's.

There are no issues with Vista 64-bit and games? I now of a few with programs, but they are old programs.

I'm not so sure that I would go with that q6600 blood iron combo.. the blood iron is fine for a benchers board.. not that ideal for an every day setup.
And swk.. that takes up the whole budget.. you need a case and video card yet... Also that PSU is nice but way overkill for the kind of build you will be building.
