Computer shutting down take 2
I was having problems with my computer shutting down when under heavy CPU load.
It was suggested that I redo the thermal paste on the CPU. That seemed to work, but last night it happened again. I was running 2 programs that was using the CPU at 100%. I have attached the system log snapshot of the time it happened. The time it happened is highlighted. Any ideas? PS I can't find a way to attach a picture to the thread? |

just post the image to imageshack.us or flikr.com and then just post the link without the url tags, we are smart and can pick it up :P
in the mean time whats the process thats running? this can be a great clue into what is causing the slowdown. the only time ive seen it take up to 3-5 minutes is when svhost.exe and rundll32.exe have 100% (or 50% each if dual core cpu) and the shutdown wont process because the system is already doing something. have you made any system changes recently? hardware or software? cheers Matty
