Bios wont detect hard drives

im trying to build a new computer but i wanted to still use my old hard drives. when i go to bios with the new setup i cant get the hard drives to get recognized. the new mobo is a gigabyte ga-p35-ds3l and the hard drives are a WD and maxtor. there IDE if that helps and the OS is xp pro. im far from a computer whiz so any help would be appreciated. thnx

You will need to check the jumpers on the back of the hard drives and put them in the correct order and/or change what jumpers are set where. Check out the link for a description.
