MB-powered fans won't turn off after PS replacement
I recently replaced the PS (ATX-style) on my circa 2000 XP machine, and oddly, the two fans powered off the motherboard, 1 for the CPU and 1 mounted on the case, now do not power off when I shut down!? I replicated the connection to the MB from the PS (the only connection is the 20-pin main PS connector), so there isn't much to go wrong, or so I thought. Any thoughts on how a simple PS swap could cause the fans to behave differently?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you replaced the motherboard connector? There's so many possibilities for error if that's the case.

Did *not* replace connector
I'm sorry, I should have been clearer: I *did not* replace the PS main connector. I merely unplugged one PS, and plugged in a replacement PS. Same connector *location*, is what I should have said, i.e. I didn't use any of those funky, square 4-pin connectors that come with ATX PSs, just the main 20-pin connector.

Oh, I see. I'm not really sure why they won't shut off then. I guess I would test the PSU itself before I hooked everything up and tried to fire it like that. Rosewill isn't the best brand. It could be faulty. Have you tried a PSU that you know is functional?
